2. Close up of Lower Metal Plaque on Monument
Volunteers, under Captain Glenn, into the Seminary grounds, and held the right of Scale's Rebel Brigade back twenty minutes longer, while their left was held by Baxter's Brigade, of Robinson's Division, thus enabling the few remaining troops, ambulances and artillery to retreat in comparative safety. 4. Schultz House

In the general area of Company D's stand was the Schultz house. At the time of the battle, the house was not as elaborate. Much of the architecture seen today is post war.
