Inscription.
A 1961 All-American at guard, he excelled on defense with speed and agility. A born leader who was elected by his teammates as the Tigers' captain in 1961, he earned All-SEC honors that year after playing for LSU's SEC champion baseball team in the spring of 1961. Winston enjoyed a brilliant NFL career in 15 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, playing in four Super Bowls.
