En 1958 fueron adquiridos los primeros T-28A Trojan y se mantuvieron en operación hasta 1982.
Con estas aeronaves de características excelentes, se estandarizó el adiestramiento técnico y táctico de combate de los pilotos aviadores.
Se asignaron a los Escuadrones Aéreos de Peleas 201, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207 y Mixto de Entrenamiento Táctico.
Esta placa es en memoria de las generaciones de pilotos aviadores y especialistas de la Fuerza Aérea Mexicana, que durante mas de dos décadas salvaguardaron el espacio aéreo mexicano operando el avión T-28A Trojan.
English translation:
With these aircraft of excellent characteristics, the technical and tactical combat training of aviators was standardized.
The Aerial Flight Squadrons 201, 203, 204, 205, 206, 207 and the Mixed Tactical Training Squadron were assigned this aircraft.
