Inscription.
In 1944, at Ft. Slocum, N.Y., Duckworth, an ordinary buck private
from Sandersville, Georgia, authored one of the most popular
marching cadences in military history. At first, it was known as the
"Duckworth Chant." It later gained fame as "Sound Off".
