Inscription.  VaktarabŠrinn was built for storage in 1845 and later used as a home.
Sigvaldi Kaldalˇns, Iceland's beloved poet, was born in the house in 1881.
After being in disrepair for two decades it was brought back to life by Minjavernd.

It is currently used as a guesthouse, embodying history and Icelandic design.
