Pieter Uytenhage, Schepen van Haarlem
stichtte in 1558 het Pietershuis.
Stichting had als doel: ouderloze jongens
uit de behoeftige stand groot te brengen
en een ambacht te leren.

Pieterhuis gesticht in 1558,
herbouwd in 1842.

In 1558, Pieter Uytenhage, an Alderman of Haarlem, endowed the Pieters House. The endowment's goal was to bring parentless boys out of poverty and teach them a craft or trade.

Pieters House was founded in 1558, and rebuilt in 1842.
