Inscription. Water Tower
Observation Tower In 1892, a complete system for the supply of pure water, with a steel tank encased in a stone tower, was installed. This was connected to a pump station two miles away drawing water from Lake Ontario. Prior to the installation of this system, water had to be hand-carried from the lake.
