Inscription. The Pleissner Gallery was built to honor Brooklyn-born artist Ogden Minton Pleissner (1905-1983), a close friend of the Webb family who earned national recognition for his work as a war artist, landscape painter, and talented chronicler of sporting scenes. The main gallery exhibits works on paper and canvas; the adjoining room recreates his Manchester, Vermont, studio.
