Chilean Mill and Jig
Shake it up....
A Chilean Mill used steel rollers to crush the ore to a fine consistency as it washed into the mill. The slurry, dirt and water mixed together, escaped through screens along the sides of the pan and into a gutter that carried it to the jig for further processing.
Erected by U.S. Forest Service and Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation.
