1. Waiulu Kīpuka Marker
Inscription. By virtue of being a named place, Waiulu was clearly known by the people of old. It is a place of note recounted by elders in the area. A hālau wa'a (canoe house) was located here, indicating a good landing. One of the important factors that make this a good seasonal habitation is the present of lave bubbles that served as water catchments.

This marker is located on along a public access coastal path in front Four Season Resort Hualalai. The path may be accessed via an unnamed road located on the south side of the resort. Stop at the gate and ask for a pass and instructions Kukio Beach.
