A Hollywood Legend at the Zoo?
This life-sized model of a triceratops may not give autographs but he was the star of a 1968 hit. Uncle Beazleyfor that's who he is"starred" in the movie The Enormous Egg, a film based upon the 1956 children's book of the same name.
Once filming of the movie finished, this model triceratops was given to the Smithsonian Institution. For years, he made his home on the National Mall near the National Museum of Natural History. In 1994 he came to the Zoo.
