Regarding Putnam Wolf Den. Israel Putnam's Wolf Den was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. It is the location where Putnam shot and killed the last know wolf in Connecticut in 1742. Putnam later became an officer in the French and Indian War as well as a major general in the Revolutionary War.
