Inscription. Millennium Peace Garden This garden was planted on October 24, 1999 by 750 youth from 103 countries during the Millenium Young Peoples Congress. It demonstrates the principles of environmental sustainability and world peace. dedicated January 26, 2005 to individuals who have worked tirelessly for world peace and the protection of the Earth’s natural environment. This monument was made possible by the generous support of Dr. Daisaku Ikeda and Soka Gakkai International
