1. Kincheloe House Marker
Inscription. Huckster George Kinchloe worked the area until the end of Prohibition. His wife "Aunt Inez" then opened the house to boarders. 5˘ buckets of beer were delivered every Friday night to the thirsty school teachers residing here. Later, the left front parlor was an unlicensed watering hole for discreet customers.

“The Kincheloe family were early settlers of Northern Virginia who emigrated from Scotland to secure a land grant given to them by Lord Fairfax. The family cemetery is about a mile south of Clifton.” – Clifton Walking Tour Pamphlet.
