Katherine Eitzen Catlin was the co-author, with Ray Brandes, of "Coronado: The Enchanted Island," a history of a development - a city and a grand hotel - inspired by visionaries, a real estate boom, an ocean beach, military presence and the added attraction of an excellent year-round climate.
