1. 103 Church Street Marker
Inscription. This may be one of the oldest buildings surviving on Church Street, possibly built in the 1820s and hidden behind a modern façade applied in the 1980s. Here, the famous jewelry firm of Pangorn and Brinsmaid was formed in 1832. Brinsmaid, who worked as a silversmith watchmaker, and spectacle maker through the 1880s, was thought to be the longest-working merchant on Church Street during his time. For the past 100 years, the building has housed a number of popular restaurants, including Boston Lunch and the Liberty Sea Grill.
