1. Odd Fellows Hall Marker
It appears, due to building location and sidewalks, the only way to place this marker, unlike the others in town, was inside, facing the exterior window.
Inscription. The Independent Order of Odd Fellows insignia still appears on the façade of this building, built in 1990. As with many early buildings, the ground floor was used for commercial purposes. Here the ground floor was occupied by a saloon, later by J.W. Hauxhurst's Meat Market, and then by Larsen and Young's Mercantile. The Grand River Lodge of the Odd Fellows used the second floor until the lodge disbanded in 1987.

Erected 2016 by the Downtown Group, Town of New Castle. (Marker Number 5.)
