Regarding The Broderick Building. The Broderick Building is one of many contributing buildings in the Pioneer Square Skid-Road District which was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. This building has had many names over the years. Originally built as the Baily Building, it became known as the Railway Exchange Building in the early 20th century. Then it changed to the Harrisburg Block, then the 2nd and Cherry Building and finally renamed as the Broderick Building in 1986 after well-known Seattle realtor, Henry Broderick.

Also see . . .  Broderick, Henry (1880-1975). Henry Broderick was a highly respected Seattle civic leader and the longtime president of the city's largest real estate firm. (Submitted on July 26, 2018, by Douglass Halvorsen of Klamath Falls, Oregon.)
