Franz Grillparzer lived in the adjoining house Gruenangergasse No. 10 in the years 1800-1812. In the years 1844-1849 he lived in this house. Here parts of his dramas "Libussa" and "A Bruderzwist in Habsburg" were written.

Erected 1984 by Gesellschaft der Freunde Wiens.
