Depuis la venue de Charles Trenet à Québec en 1949,
e'est ici, où logeaite le célèbre cabaret Chez Gerard,
que Gérard Thibault a accueilli un grand nombre
d'artistes de la chanson française et québécoise,
dont il fut un fervent promoteur.

Cette plaque a été dévoilée
le 12 mars 2005.

[English translation]

Since the arrival of Charles Trenet in Quebec City in 1949,
it is here, where the famous cabaret Chez Gerard was located,
that Gérard Thibault welcomed a large number of
artists of French and Québécois songs,
of which he was a fervent promoter.

This plaque was unveiled
March 12, 2005.
