1. The Theatre Verein Marker

Inscription. The theatre was built to present plays in German to the local German speaking population. In 1866 this theatrical society merged with the Turn Verein. The structure was then used by the Grand Army of the Republic and became known as Liberty Hall. The building was designed by local architect Otto Brix.
