"John Schulze, Sanitary Plumber: Plumbing, Gas-fitting, and Sewering, Hot water heating for dwelling houses a specialty." St. Charles City Directory, 1912.

John Schulze did plumbing work to modernize St. Charles including sewering & plumbing Benton and Jefferson schools, St. Charles Savings & Loan, St. Joseph Hospital, and the 400 employee Rand Shoe Factory on Fifth Street.

Erected 2011 by Historic Downtown Association.
