Inscription.
This Greek Revival house was built as a home for John Wood, a woodworker. It was sold to Edwin Hubbell, grocer and meat market owner, in 1866.

The second story on the west wing was added in 1874, the porch on the south side in 1897 and the north porch in 1902. Hubbell's son, Frank, a very prominent Milford citizen, lived in the house from 1905 to 1909.

It was the home of Dr. Weisbrod from 1909 to 1954.

From 1959 until 1974 it served as the offices of Milford Village, Milford Township and the police department.

The Milford Historical Society restored the house and made it their museum in 1975.
