Old White Swan. .
Old White Swan. Parts of this complex building date from the 16th century. The earliest records of the building as the Old White Swan public house date to 1703, although it is believed that it was a pub well before then. There are nine separate structures identifiable within the premises. The range of buildings across the rear of the courtyard are medieval timber framed structures. They contain two very large examples of inglenook fireplaces and numerous fine examples of historic timber framing. The two wings of buildings which flank the courtyard are of the Georgian period, built when Goodramgate was widened in 1775.
