Bamburgh Castle Bell
This bell was originally in a cap house on top of the clock tower known also as the Belle Tower! As an integral part of the mechanism it sounded out at regular intervals. It was moved to its current site here in the apse of the chapel as its constant chiming irritated the Fourth Lady Armstrong and villagers alike.
All the money used to 'chime' the bell is given to the Bamburgh Heritage Trust promoting the history and heritage of Bamburgh Parish.
