[English translation]

The Trois-Pistoles church, this temple, this monument. It is, in more than one chapter, the very history of the area, reminding us of the great displacement of the community "from below to above" and the advent of a remarkable period of local development, of urbanization, of the environment and regional influence. With an exceptionally rich exterior and interior, the current Trois-Pistoles church, whose construction was completed in 1888, is the fifth to have been erected in the community.

Its interior decor was completed between 1901 and 1904. With the rectory, the Jesus-Marie convent, and the old college, the Trois-Pistoles church forms one of the most beautiful institutional sets that can be found in Quebec.

These buildings also offer common architectural features. In the case of the church and the rectory, it is the same professional, the architect David Ouellet, who delivered the plans: those of the church in 1882 and those of the rectory in 1888. The other buildings are located in the continuity of the style of the church and the rectory. The construction of these imposing buildings refers to an important phase in the development of the Trois-Pistoles, undeniably indicative of the influence of the Trois-Pistoles in the regional community.

Other buildings were added to this institutional set, reflecting a second phase of development after the Second World War. These are the Notre Dame Building (formerly Notre-Dame-des-Neiges School) and the former parish center. The architectural signature differs from the first set but remains of great value.
