Al ingigne Coronel de Caballeria, Donato Guerra Orozco que al mando de la caballería somete a los militares sublevados contra el Presidente, Benito Juarez. en la asonada de La Ciudadela.
El 1º de octubre de 1871

English translation:
"As a testimony to loyalty and honesty to the nation and its institutions."
The distinguished Colonel of the Cavalry, Donato Guerra Orozco, who commanded the cavalry that put down the uprising of soldiers rebelling against President Benito Juárez during the Revolt at La Ciudadela, October 1, 1871
