Inscription.

This monument has been erected for the citizens of Rock County in proud and grateful memory of her soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen who laid down their lives in all quarters of the earth that other people might be freed from oppression.

Let us here highly resolve that the honored dead shall not have died in vain.

In proud remembrance and in humble tribute to the sacrifices of the Rock County POWs
