1. Howard "Louie Bluie" Armstrong Marker
Inscription. Growing up in LaFollette, Howard Armstrong's love of music developed early. His talents as an artist led to a legendary 80 year career as a singer, painter, and musician. In 1990, Howard was awarded a National Heritage Fellowship, and named a Master Traditional Artist. In 1995 Howard was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Detroit Blues Society. The city of LaFollette is honored to be the home of Howard Armstrong.
