Regarding El Encanto. This barn was completed in 1942, and converted into a two-story residence by architect Henry Withey in 1947 for General Harris Malasky, who commanded the Black Hawk Division during World War II. He called it Black Hawk Ranch. El Encanto is the name of an earlier ranch that was in this area. The nearby farm house was torn down in 2003.
This is a private residence, not open to the public.
