Inscription.   Hier stond het ouderlijk huis van Jan Pietersz Sweelinck (1562-1621), beroemd renaissance-componist en organist van de Oude Kerk. Hij werd beschouwd als een indirecte leermeester via zijn leerlingen, van J.S. Bach.

This is where the parental home stood of Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck (1562-1621), famous Renaissance composer and organist of the Oude Kerk. He was considered to have taught J.S. Bach indirectly via his pupils.
