Ligonier in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania — The American Northeast (Mid-Atlantic)
Welcome to Holy Trinity Parish
The Catholic Community of the Ligonier Valley
In the early 1950s, the population of our parish was outgrowing our former worship and school buildings on Church Street. The parish purchased the acreage that surrounds you from Ligonier Valley Railroad in 1955. The right side of the building was converted into the church, the left side into the elementary school, and the center area into a social hall/ cafeteria/ gym. The church you see before you was dedicated in 2005; the section of the old Roundhouse that had served as the church is now administration and education space.
We invite you to come and stroll through our grounds, to sit on a bench and meditate in one of our patio areas, or to visit inside our church. When it is quiet, you may hear the faint whistle of a distant engine!
