Inscription.
These and other pioneering priests of the Diocese of New York who are buried here in unmarked graves are commemorated by this plaque in gratitude for their service and sacrifices and in keeping with the resolution of parishioners expressed after their deaths

Ordained by Bishop John Connolly in Ireland in 1815
The first priest of the newly established Diocese of New York
Died November, 1824

Father Richard Bulger
