Poeta y periodista de Las Brumas
Nació el 10 de Julio 1899 en San Marcos de Colón, Honduras. A los 5 años se trasladó a vivir a Jinotega. Hombre de profundas convicciones filosóficas y religiosas. Se dedicó a la Cultura literaria y artística. Organizó la Socieda “Amigos de Arte”. En 1928 fundó el primer semanario “Rumbos”, la revista “Rutas” y “El Domingo” primer periódico impreso en Jinotega. En 1942 por su labor periodística recibió el “Honor al Mérito” galardón para el periodismo nacional dado en la Ciudad de Matanzas, Cuba. Primer premio con su poema “Canción del Amor sin Palabras” en los Juegos Florales Centroamericanos, León, 1946. En 1956, se traslada a la Ciudad de Managua. Después de 1972, regresa a Jinotega en donde publica “Cuadernos Literarios”, su última publicación periódica. Muere el 25 de Noviembre de 1974 en la Ciudad que seria en vida su fuente de vivencias poéticas. 1978 “Destellos Poéticos”, obra editada y publicada póstumamente.

Poet and journalist of Las Brumas
He was born on July 10, 1899 in San Marcos de Colón, Honduras. At age 5 he moved to Jinotega. A man of deep philosophical and religious convictions. He devoted himself to literary and artistic culture. He organized the "Friends of Art" Society. In 1928 he founded the first weekly newspaper "Rumbos", the magazine "Rutas" and also "El Domingo", the first newspaper printed in Jinotega. In 1942, for his journalistic work he received the "Honor to Merit" award for national journalism, given in Matanzas, Cuba. He won first prize with his poem "Song of Love without Words" in the Central American Floral Games, León, 1946. In 1956, he moved to Managua. After 1972, he returned to Jinotega where he published "Literary Notebooks", his last periodical publication. He died on November 25, 1974 in the city that would be the source of his poetic experiences in his life. In 1978 his work "Poetic Brillance" was edited and published posthumously.
