Inscription.
*Born in Lafourche Parish on the estate of his father, Henry J. Thibodaux, on December 18, 1880 at Bayou Blue.
*Inherited his father's estate who was a descendant of Henry Schyler Thibodaux, the founder of the City of Thibodaux.
*Married Mathilde Bourgeois on June 28, 1904 and had six daughters Lillian, Hattie, Gladys, Pearl, Beulah and Betty.
*Built the first one-room school on Bayou Blue and provided lodging for the teachers.
*Honored as the first "Master Farmer of Louisiana” in 1928.
*Served as Police Juror from 1920-1960 and was one of the founders of Francis T. Nichols State College.
*Was a loving inspiration to his family and the community.
