Inscription.  In 1876 The Centreville National Bank of Maryland (predecessor to CNB) was established, and in 1904 constructed this building, its headquarters, to replace the one nearby that was destroyed by fire.
 
Location. 39° 2.678′ N, 76° 3.909′ W. Marker is in Centreville, Maryland, in Queen Anne's County.
