1. Cal Eldred Marker
Inscription. The 17th overall pick by the Brewers in 1989, Eldred spent the first nine seasons of his 14-year Major League career in Milwaukee. Found immediate success in 1992 by posting an 11-2 record - including a club record-tying ten straight wins - with a 1.79 ERA in 14 starts, finishing fourth in the A.L. Rookie of the Year voting. Won 16 games the following season, leading the A.L. in games started and innings pitched. Compiled 11 wins during the strike-shortened season of 1994, while again leading the A.L. in games started. His 38 wins from 1992-1994 ranked eleventh in the American League. As a Brewer, Eldred earned 64 wins in 169 starts and 1,078 innings - all of which were franchise-best totals during the 1990s.
