1. Site of Meridian Male College Marker
Inscription. Founded by John Wesley Beeson in 1902 on a campus originally developed by Rev. L. M. Stone as a college for women, the Meridian Male College was led by President Malcolm A. Beeson from 1903-1913, when it merged with John Beeson's Meridian Female College and Conservatory. The campus was redeveloped as a residential area beginning in 1914.
 
Erected 1995 by Mississippi Department of Archives and History.
