Sidewalk plaque
Inscription. In the early 1900s, the Blackwell-Wielandy Book & Stationary Company occupied 700 Washington Avenue. Founder Frank Wielandy planted the seed for over 710 acres of thrift gardens that grew throughout the city by 1921.
