Inscription. Built by Carl Hanna ca. 1912, this cabin was originally located at the site of the Carter Mansion, approximately three quarters of a mile up Kirkwood Creek. A few years after constructing the cabin, Hanna left for Europe and World War I from which he never returned. After purchasing the Kirkwood Creek operation in 1932, Len Jordan dismantled the Hanna Cabin and moved it to its present location on Kirkwood Bar. Jordan and subsequent owners used the cabin as a blacksmith shop. The Hanna Cabin was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984
