Municipal Theatre Company - Memorial for Victims of the Nazis
(English translation:)
Immediately after the start of the National Socialist rule on January 30th, 1933, the Municipal Theatre Company of Frankfurt became the target of political, and especially anti-Semitic, terror. Numerous employees were dismissed and the cultural life of the city suffered an irreplaceable loss. In the course of the following years the oppression grew and ended in deportation
and murder for many. In commemoration of all members the Municipal Theatre who suffered under the unjust regime, here are the names of those who were murdered in concentration camps, who perished by ill-treatment, or who under the conditions of persecution chose suicide.
