On May 10, 1990, His Holiness Pope John Paul II, saw fit to pray in this Holy Cathedral Church of Our Lady of Monterrey, on the occasion of his second pastoral visit to this metropolitan city.

The marker is mounted to the facade of the cathedral, to the right of its main entryway. Note the bells below the marker, with the middle bell having a date of 1836.

Los amigos del Padre Jardon dedican a la posteridad esta imagen. Homenaje de gratitud al bienhechor de feliz memoria.
