Inscription.  
This flame of freedom burns eternally, honoring veterans who served in all wars, especially to those who fought and died that people of all countries might be free
 
Erected 1969 by Cordell American Legion Post 134 and the City of Cordell.
 
Location. 35° 17.476′ N, 98° 59.405′ W. Marker is in New Cordell, Oklahoma, in Washita County. Memorial is at the intersection of South College Street and State Route 152, on the left when traveling south on South College Street. Touch for map.
