Inscription.  House built 1908 by Lt. Governor Thomas Charles Barett on property purchased by his father in 1866. Acquired by Mr. & Mrs. William M. Barett in 1938.
 
Erected by Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau.
 
Location. 32° 29.268′ N, 93° 45′ W. Marker is in Shreveport, Louisiana, in Caddo Parish. Marker is at the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Prospect Street, on the right when traveling south on Fairfield Avenue. Touch for map.
