John Fitzgerald “Jack” Kennedy (JFK) was the 35th President of the United States, serving from 1961 until his assassination in 1963. At age 43, he was the youngest person and the first Roman Catholic ever elected President. JFK’s presidency was very active and addressed many issues of the day – Cuban Missile Crisis, Vietnam, Latin America and the spread of Communism, Civil Rights, and he is credited with establishing the Space Program and the Peace Corps.
