Historic Businesses 12th to 13th Street, North
Before the 1940s, R Street Corridor structures
were primarily commercial ones. However, a
number of residential buildings lined the north
side of the 1200 block and faced both 12th
and 13th Streets. A home constructed in 1910
still stands on the east end of the block, facing
13th Street.
