Jeremy Hill scored twice and carried 14th-ranked LSU to its school-record fourth-straight 10-win season, as the Tigers beat lowa, 21-14, in the 2014 Outback Bowl in Tampa. Hill, the game's MVP, rushed 28 times for a career-best 216 yards and two touchdowns in the victory. Quarterback Anthony Jennings, making his first career start, scored on a 2-yard run to give the Tigers a 7-0 lead on their opening possession. Hill scored on a 14-yard run midway through the second quarter as LSU led 14-0 at halftime. A 37-yard TD run by Hill late in the fourth quarter extended the Tiger lead to 21-7 before Iowa mounted a late rally, pulling to 21-14 with 1:42 left following a Score that was setup by a 96-yard kickoff return. LSU recovered the ensuing onside kick and was able to run out the clock as the Tigers finished 10-3.
