(English translation:) Previously, a two-story timber building called Ísafold, which housed the Ísafold Printing Works, stood here, but that building was moved to Aðalstræti 12. This building was renovated in 2000 by drawings by architects Gunnar Bergmann Stefánsson and Hlédís Sveinsdóttir.
