1. President Monroe's Home Marker
Inscription.  The house to the North is Oak Hill. Designed by Thomas Jefferson for James Monroe, it was built about 1823. Monroe lived there for some years.
 
Erected 1938 by Conservation & Development Commission. (Marker Number F-4.)
