Francisco Garcia Salinas - Statue erected by the state of Zacatecas by sculptor Antonio Castellanos
(1786 - 1841)
He was born in Jerez, Zacatecas. In 1828 he was appointed governor of his state. The government funding system of Mexico, decreed by the Constituent Congress, is due to his work. He died retired at his Piedra Gorda farm in San Pedro in the town of Cuauhtémoc, Zacatecas.
